SPRING 2026 BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

Our 2026 Spring Baseball and Softball Registration is now open and can be completed here:

REGISTRATION LINK

We had a very successful 2025 season and we look forward to continued success into 2026.

Please register early so we can start planning. Fees will increase on February 1st and Registration closes February 15th for all leagues except Tee Ball and Farm.

Each child should be registered to play in the league that is appropriate for his/her gender and birthdate. Click here to view a detailed description of all of our leagues.  Our goal is to keep a "neighborhood" feel for these younger leagues(Teeball, Farm, Rookies). Children in our older (umpired) leagues—Minor Girls, Major Girls, Prep Boys, Minor Boys, and Major Boys—will be drafted onto their teams in mid-March. Any questions about registration can be emailed to registrations@brooklineball.org.

For all NEW Children, we require a copy of the child's birth certificate to verify their age. The certificate can either be digitally photographed or scanned, and then it can be uploaded as part of the online registration process. Please help us with this necessary process to ensure all kids are playing in the appropriate league.

In accordance with federal law, all Brookline coaches and volunteers must register with their criminal background check, child abuse history check, and SafeSport training certifications prior to participating in any Brookline activities involving children. More details can be found here and on our website for parents interested in volunteering their time to coach.

We look forward to a fantastic 2026 season! Please check our website for the calendar of upcoming events. Both of our baseball and softball programs have winter workouts planned to start in December as well as tryouts for the Bandits and Blazers travel teams finishing up in early December. Look for future communications regarding our annual player evaluation plans for the umpired leagues that will be held in Late February this year!

We are always happy to have new families and new players join our league, so please consider sharing this page with families with children ages 4-12 who didn't register with Brookline in spring 2025 and therefore haven't received our previous communications.

For those families registering multiple players, we normally have a cap on our registration site. Unfortunately Sportsengine has incorporated some changes to their program and this is no longer an option. For any family hitting our "Per Family Cap" of $250, please email Registrations@brooklineball.org to get refunded for anything over $250. A new Cap will be established after the February 1st Registration deadline.

We wish you a very happy holiday season!

SOFTBALL BIRTHDATE CUTOFF CHANGES FOR 2026 SEASON

Several softball organizations, including USSSA, USA, and Babe Ruth, have made or are making age cutoff changes for the 2026 season,  shifting the eligibility date from December 31 to August 31. This means a player's age on August 31, 2025, will determine their age division. USA Softball who merged with ASA also aligns with this August 31 cutoff for the 2026 season.   With that, Brookline Softball will follow these dates for the upcoming 2026 Season for both In House and Blazers Programs.

While these changes are always a challenge to manage, we plan on implementing immediately.  The positive spin here is that it gives some players from last season an opportunity for another year with Brookline and has similar impact for over 70 players in our program.  Again, this is an extra year of eligibility for this group, not anyone losing a year, and it finally aligns youth softball ages with the ages of the grades they attend in Elementary Schools.

As we look ahead to our Spring 2026 Season and open up our Registration on November 15th, we will add some notes to our registration to help choose the correct league for your player.  We are also available to answer any questions anyone has to help make that decision for your player when Registration opens.

***If your child has played 2 years already in a given league(Minors, Majors) and remains eligible for a 3rd year in that league, we are giving you the choice to move up to the next league or remain for a 3rd year.  If your daughter has a birthday in September, October, November or December they will get that choice for the upcoming season.***
